Man, I can't believe that Runescape is worth that much.

Is this how much they've made from that website/program, or is it based on their total networth? I have the feeling a lot of those made their money elsewhere.

I assume that is their networth. If they actually had that much money, they would be a lot more publicized. And there would be no way Andrew Gower could make that much off of Runescape...

I wonder how much he's made off the game then. With the advertisers and how many people play it there is a possibility that he did make money but not near that much, lol.

wow what is suprising though that there no porno sites on that list. or did that just not include them. I would be willing to bet my last mycent that they are the top crossing sites, would like seeing the site you got this info from also please

These are of private companies, according to him. So I assume that would leave out Google and Yahoo and other big sites like that.

Well considering he has to pay employees and there are server expenses and what not, I don't think he makes massive amounts of money. But I am sure he is pretty well off. It also seems like he plays the game a lot because he has 99 everything. And if he got 99 through illegitimate means that would be pretty unfair.

Yeah, those are private, meaning they are not publicly owned. If one of those is worth $1 bil, that's how much ONE PERSON's ownership of it is worth.

Google was worth 1.2 bil or so the last time I looked, but it is a publicly owned company. Same with MSN and the others named.

As for porn...I would guess those would be at the top as well. I wonder if any porn sites would be worth more than MSN, lol.

I don't think porn sites could be worth that much. Sure a lot of people go to them, but think of how many just go for the teasers. And if you think of how many porn sites there are out there, the wealth is very distributed.
