setting up the bios has always been a problem for me becasue my computer simply does not go back to many of the deflautdetting and asks for many complicated stuffs that i have no idea what they mean in the bios
could someone please explain to me what exactly the bios is for and how to fix it?

Please provide more details. What are the Settings you want to change? Write them here. Usually you can go to BIOS settings by pressing F2 or DEL key (it depends on your motherboard) at the startup of your computer. But first post the problems you are facing. What are the complicated things your computer asking? With those details we'll decide whether it is BIOS issue or something else...

Though most BIOS settings are universal, usually you want to and usually if you get a name brand computer they have somewhere on their website a BIOS guide but to help you just a bit check these BIOS guides websites out since they should cover everything that is pretty much standard in most BIOS.
