Hello all,

I need your assistance on setting up my own FTP server instead.(is it secure?) Now I got Filezilla Server, I can connect it with a domain using those free DNS servers right?

But what DNS client(is that correct? i dont even know the lingo for this.) to use? since my IP gets reset every week or so.. preferably portable one..

I have already spent the whole day just uploading some files, I found out my internet connection gets reset a lot. :D It would save me hell of a time to set this up.

Thank you so much Trap17!
:) :P :D

To solve the dynamic IP problem, you can get free no-ip.com services to update your IP as it changes. Basically it gives you a sub domain like something.no-ip.com and a software which would monitor and update the current IP to that subdomain. You can use this subdomain to set up your ftp sever.

Alternatively you can try out Quick 'n Easy FTP server.
