I have installed wordpress several times before (not on qupis on any trap17.com hosting service)
and everytime it has gone down flawlessly (meaning everything has worked first and if it hadn't was easily rectified. So i assumed installing on qupis would be the same...
it has not.
My first attempt i ftp'd my files to the server (i always follow the wordpress guide just for clarity)
then i went to find my install file in my url bar i.e http://audality.qupis.com/blah blah/wordpress/install.php
i couldn't find it kept getting error messages like the one thats still currently there accidentally decided to move my index file (i was drunk and thought it was a good idea).
So in the end i had to scrap that isntall as much as a i could cos i lost the index file. I then reuploaded the files and tried to play it more safe, i was wondering if anyone could tell me how to make sure im rid of all wordpress files before i go for round number three and any potential ways to avoid the same pitfalls again?

Qupis has certain configurations turned off for its safety reasons. Therefore, it may not run every script out there.
Last year I tried to install IPB without much success. The reason I got from the Qupis helpdesk was that some apache settings were off and that contributed from running the IPB properly.
When you reinstall WordPress all will be overwritten by the new installation. If you installed in a directory, i.e. /root/wp/ then simply delete wp folder and its database to start over.

Does Qupis offer a Fantastico or Softaculous script installer?
Look in the Control Panel to see if either of those are set up. One click to install many software packages.

Are you uploading the full set of files as a zip (compressed format? or as individual files?
Maybe if you load the fileset as several uploads they would get there? Don't know if the Qupis server might have some limits set for CPU usage. Perhaps breaking the FTP into a couple of smaller packages would work better?
Let us know how you are trying it so far and we might be able to suggest something different that would work.

Install Wordpress is very easy you have to read the tutorial in the wordpress homepage. Wordpress is the most popular blog script and the installation is the most easy in the PHP scripts I think. If you don´t have knowledge about the PHP scripts you have to read the tutorial in the PHP homepage I don´t remember the direction. To install Wordpress you have to upload all the files in the hosting account with FTP and create a database in the Cpanel. You have to edit some files in the script with the information of your database and install the script with the "install.php" file.
Once you have been done this all you have to do is customize the blog and start to post...and enjoy of course.
Go to the Wordpress page and you will learn a little more about the installation.

ive actually installed wordpress a few times with different hosts, for friends and stuff and ive never had any issues with it, thanks for the advice anyway but the actual installation part is not my problem its the fact that somehow ive managed to edit my htaccess with pointless crap and cannot for the life of me find the install.php in my browser bar because it just throws back an error message
