Hello there friends, Actually I am a n00b and have recently started learning graphics designing. We all know about Photoshop - The Ultimate Tool for graphic designing. But I also wanted to know about other softwares that can be used in Graphic Designing. Can you give me some information on it

A great free alternative to Photoshop is GIMP
GIMP is alot like Photoshop and if you are good at it you can make images in GIMP look like they were made in PS. it can be a little hard to use but it's better then MS paint :)
and photoshop brushes work in GIMP too! just drag and drop the ABR files in the window and their installed

Get brushes patterns and grandits here
Get fonts here

There are many alternatives. Some of the free one's are :

1) Paint.net
2) Gimp
3) Krita(linux only)
4) Chocoflop
5) Cinepaint

Some free web-based photo shop alternatives are :

1)Picnik
2)Splashup
3)Photoshop express

There is also commercial aviary which is considered as web based photoshop alternative. You can google the names and can locate the site.

mostly likely the better the software , the more the price.
Graphic softwares can start at the amidst price of free to $100 to thousands of dollars.
The most recommended software out there now is photoshop CS4.
But since your a noob , why not start off with something simple.

i would recommend to you Gimp 2.6+
It's free , easy to understand, and is like photoshop except missing a couple hundred features.
but don't let that scare you! if you get the hang of designing you can move onto photoshop.

now photoshop Cs4 is i believe, about 600$ to buy.
again most likely the more expensive the software , the more keygens hackers come out with.
what are keygens? they are programs that can hack a serial for you , therefore you will not need to purchase that 535646 dollar software.

if you are a really ligit person , and would like to purchase it, go knock yourself out.

now let's say you become a super ultra designer and plan to go pro. then you can buy the adobe photo suite (any version) for app 1500$.

anyways , back to how your a beginner.
as i was saying gimp is a good alternative or starting point.
if all you simply want to do is "edit" pictures so your eyes aren't red and you want some fancy glitter text then feel free to try out picnik, the photoshop editor , and luna.

here are link references to make it all easy :]

http://www.adobe.com/downloads/ <-- adobe's official site. You can download trials, and when the trials run out and start asking for a serial number go look for some keygens
http://www.gimp.org/downloads/ <-- Download Gimp for free. this site also includes tutorials on gimp.
http://www.picnik.com/ <-- Picnik , easy editing
http://www.warezworm.com/download-crack/ph...rrent-free.html <-- photoshop keygens *evil chuckle* i believe this site doesn't have any viruses for i have download from them before.

i hope i provided some information on photoshop in some way. & i hope you find a program that's right! & never forget photoshop is the ultimate image manipulation program, nothing more better. so one way or another i recommend that you get it someway if legit or not legit. :]
but i also really do recommend that you start off with something else. photoshop is hard on first timers .
