Hey, guys. I am searching for the best free hosting provider that allows using og PHP and AJAX technology. The main feature of the hosting provider is that i can offer at least 1Gb of storage and unlimited number of MySQL databases. I need it for my University project and I need it urgently. Do you have someones in your mind?

I have used several free web hosts over the past 18 months.... and in the main, they no longer exist. They were all like this one - associated with a forum, and operated in much the same way. I am trying this one in the hope that because it appears to be solid, it will prove to be the right choice.

For an immediate solution, 000webhost is up and going in minutes... but the offering for mysql databases and such is lower - it depends what you want.

Even spending to purchase cheap hosting doesn't guarantee they will be there long term.

Alex, here on Computinghost you get 5 free MySQL databases and for extra you have to pay for it. Earlier Xisto used to give unlimited mysql databases but now they are limiting it. I don't know why but anyway you can use 5 databases. I have managed to use only 3 so far.

PHP and Ajax is supported. If you need media streaming then you can either go for dedicated or vps.

And you get 1GB storage and 10GB BW. So it's not like you are losing anything here. Only think you need extra here on Xisto is MySQL database. You can ask for more in exchange for Mycents.

x10 Hosting isn't that bad, for the highest end plan I believe that you get unlimited or a large amount of mySQL databases, not sure about media streaming however, I know they don't support coldfusion and asp, only php, and not Ruby on Rails. Its a decent host, I've had good experience with it, its better than 000webhost, but it isn't instant either, might take a couple of days, and requires you log on to the forums once a week. You don't need to post or anything, however for the highest end plan you need to put a full banner ad, the middle requires a small text ad, and the basic doesn't require anything. The banners need to be on every page, so when you configure your PHP, you need to have the ad display dynamically on every page.
