I hate to sound negative, but it's always
Arsenal verse Chelsea, or one of them verse Manchester
United or Liverpool. The same 4 teams have owned the
Premier league for way too long.
They are also the ones bringing it down.
They need a salary cap in the Premier league,
just like the NFL.

English football is like a train that's about to hit a brick wall.
All of the teams are ridiculously in debt.
It's the big 4 who brought us to this problem really.
Other smaller clubs can't survive in the Premiership without
going way into debt. Indeed with bankruptcy threatening.

Look at all the fair sized teams that have nearly been ruined so far: Leeds,Charlton,Southhampton,Watford,Derby,Sheffield Wednesday,Sheffield United,Leicster,Ipswitch and more.

This might sound irrational but still. It might be the only solution.
Maybe what could be done, is all the English teams band together and attempt to cut ties completely with the bigger teams.Let this happen while the smaller clubs are still breathing.
Let Man U, Chelsea etc form their super European league
and leave domestic English football for the rest of the
92 teams.
When the greed of the bigger clubs destroys themselves and their "Super league", we would still
at least have teams in England unaffected.

At least there would still be professional football in England, rather than none at all, if things continue as they are.

Whenever there is talk about debt in soccer, English clubs is always put on the firing block. Without a doubt, the big 4 of Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Man Utd and slapped with huge debts. But Arsenal and Man Utd and returning healthy profits seasons after seasons. Chelsea have a super rich sugar daddy. And Liverpool, they are the worse off. With a crippling loan to repay, they were kick off of the gold mine call Champions League. It will have recuperssion come season end.

And because of them all, people have been slamming the debts that the EPL clubs have. But most of the people, they have forgotten to mention Real Madrid. If one could remember, they were once on the verge of financial ruins until the city council stepped in to ease them off the burden. And the pre-season acquistion of Kaka, Ronaldo and Karim, they were bought with future money. Yet no one mentioned Real, especially Michel Platini when he mentioned the club that he condemn for having such debts.

Of course, there are the likes of Valencia and not to mention, several of the serie A clubs.
