#1

Today I am presenting to you 'Swagbucks'.
What is Swagbucks?
Swagbucks is a search & win website you can win anything on there its like Lockerz but a lot better, This system is no scam I have been using it and been buying Paypal Gift cards for myself.
How do I earn?
To earn money on Swagbucks you simply download the toolbar or firefox or IE addon and search as you would on Google or anything. Searching random things will not get you more. The more normal the keyword(s) is or are will get you more. You can earn 5 Swagbucks per day by searching.
Another way is gift codes the way in which you can get these is the full toolbar from the website and wait till they release one, Remember you have to be quick before it expires.
If you are a creative or have good ideas you can win 10 Swagbucks on a Poll by submitting your own poll to there email address.
How much is it to sign up?
Well most of these sites have a sign up fee though this is completely free to sign up and use!
Where do I sign up?
www.swagbucks.com
Enjoy!

Or i could carry on with my job and earn that same sum of money in about 45 minutes... I think ill stay here
Moral of the story: dont trust companies that say they will give you stuff for nothing. They make money from you, in the same way you only have a job because a) the organisation needs you as a vital team member, or
And toolbars have a HUGE history of being full of spyware and definitely adware (Which i suspect this one contains) and every toolbar ever made makes your browser, and sometimes your entire PC so, so, so much slower, laggier and buggier than it was before you installed it. just get a job!!!

Totally agree, but this site has a good alexa rank(1809). Its not bad for such a site. Me either don't believe in such things. I can remember scour,an useless social search engine.

Scour is complete fail and they failed to give their members their money or goodies they promised. they just got social searches data and they sold out and earned profit and now they shut the program now. there is no way people will trust scour now.

I've seen much of these goodies, but too bad that almost all of them are scam or for 'those three' resident.
I wonder when will they look at my country in the far, far away galaxy.....

I currently am signed up to them, I left them for a couple of months as I just got really bored as the search engine was really bad.
Recently I have come back to swagbucks and I must say it has improved by a huge percentage!
As Ash said basically you can search & win, Earn swagbucks then redeem prizes, Which is a good idea!

Which is rather irritating, because I search many keywords a day because of this... Oh well.. I guess it cannot be helped. Yes!!! first post since ages!!! I'm letting The Simpleton win this race, because I have my blog and mylot to tend to...
Wish I can get a real job soon, I'm not even meant to be on mylot.

Lol, why so ? don't look at mylot as cash earning resource. if you look that way you'll get bored like facebook and orkut. think of it as sharing information hub. that way you'll enjoy it more. Mylot is good cause we less socialize and more answer question without knowing the person and our answer becomes more professional unlike facebook/orkut where we hold back cause of relation we establish on them.
anyway, Search based social networks are completely waste though.

but if people ARE going to try and make money with these programs, the best way to do it is combine programs where you might actually have a chance in earning minimum wage
i heard the search is for crap so why would anyone want to waste their time searching on an engine that doesn't give the best results?
although i do believe the program is not a scam, it sure is a waste of time when their are better and easier ways to make money online or earn prizes. who the heck prefers prizes over cold hard cash anyway?!? with cash, at least you have the opportunity to choose exactly where YOUR money is being spent
time is valuable people. get that through your heads. if all you want to do is waste your life as something as inignificant as paid to program that don't even pay minimum wage for your efforts, how the heck are you preparing yourself for your own future? aree you even informing your parents what you are doing with your time online all the time? probably not because they could probably find something more usefull for you to be involved with.
so basically, for some, being involved with these programs means you have to lie to your parents....then there is the issue if it is even LEGAL for a minor to participate in these programs because usually there are terms to be agreed on before participation which makes it a contract. a minor usually cannot enter in to any contract without parents permission. at least here in the united states.
this isn't the first time i spoke out against these ways of making money online, nor will it be my last.
again, if people insiste on trying to make some money with swagbuck, combine miltiple program. find the ones that compliment eachother so you can kill two birds with one stone and get paid double or even triple for your efforts. i still don't even support my own suggestion....but at least it's better than the pennies you would earn with any one program.
i will also say, that any person who likes promoting these programs don't have a CLUE what they are doing online. they don't want to be the only clueless one so they get other people to sign up with them so they can all gather around in a circle and discuss how excited they are because they just earned a dollar.

I have tried scour.com and did think that they would stop paying eventually when they got a certain number of users using the site. However, I did have a feeling that a lot of those users would be gone when the search engine stopped paying for the search. I have not used Scour.com in a while so I was not aware of the fact that they already had stopped paying - I read it on this thread so I guess that keeps me updated on recent happenings at Scour. I visited Scour just to take a look at what they are up to and was surprised that there were over six thousand users online!! I guess they must be the ones who switched from Google to Scour and never moved back. The idea of a social search does sound good. Google has a couple of social search features but they haven't been promoting it actively like Scour has.
While on the topic of search engines, is anyone still using Cuil? It was launched as a Google-killer and never really lived up to its expectations. I do, however, like DuckDuckGo.com, which was launched recently. It has a simple interface and returns search engines results even while the search is in progress. It's fun to use and I might add it as my default search engine over the next couple of days because it seems to return rather decent search results.

Why so ? I did find that search engine fine. It's not google or bing but it is good with searches. For example if you type "fiction" in it. It gives some good results. It has enough results which are worth to check(less clutter also). I didn't find anything funny with that search engine. Or is it just me ?

Lol but I think I'm down with some sort of writer's block now - after hitting 1000 I suddenly lost my speed somewhere - and this seems to apply to my blog as well - haven't been there in days...oh well - we'll race soon enough

Haha, well, thanks to you I have been posting at mylot more than at Trap17 though, but my blog is keeping me very very busy already anyway. It's one thing to post on forums and another to post on your blog, because I am a perfectionist and I like things to be perfect, so I am taking a long time to write each post, but I am careful to make sure that I reach the 400 words benchmark everytime though.
But anyway, I guess I'm not doing this properly then. I AM wasting a lot of time for just a few cents, I believe, like what anwii said, so I shouldn't take that as a money earning resource but a place to get referrals and advertise my blog and learn more information.
Doesn't even take long. If it wasn't for school I wouldn't have joined anyway at all.
Haha, now I'm trying to multitask so many things: Catch up with news on mylot, post on my blog, post comments on other peoples blogs and trying to advertise my blog in a subtle way, going to blog directories like blogcatalog and posting at mylot. A lot of things to do at the same time, you must agree. I think that I should make a time schedule like one hour on these things per day and do my homework instead for more hours.
What do you think? Oh, and searching for PTC and Paid to search sites as well.

If you find any let me know. I'm need of funds so that i can get some themes for blogs. So funds from PTC/Kontera is not bad option at all.
I found out mylot cause i was in search of social network which keeps me anonymous from my friends and people who know me. So i opted to that social network. Good things i'm earning from it as well. Not much but 3$ as of now. Not bad. In next 2 months i might go upto 104 who knows.
I don't follow PTC sites, as we already discussed about it. But there are some people who did benefited from that you can try easymoneyspace.com forum where people discuss about that. From there i learned that palmbux and neobux sites pays, but my IP being dynamic can't use those sites. Personally i hardly join those pTC sites and i can't wait for 6 months for 5 to 10$ for lot of daily hardwork.

Nice, promotion techniques. I doubt those PTC hungry people on mylot or similar sites will notice your blog. I suggest you to join forumpromotion.net for advertising your blog. Also join entrecard.

Post count hardly matters. Depth answer and to the point makes you earn stars and reputation. that way earning will be increased.
