I've tried many free hosting packages. The first messed up my template, the second had poor upload speed, the third an ftp that doesn't work, the fourth: you get the idea... Until I found trap17: ftp, gr8 speed, super support, huge disk space, unlimited mysql databases, unlimited pop3 accounts, up to 20 gb bandwidth, scripts, many others, and above all: FREE!!! So head over to my site www.ds-portal.trap17.com and see how well this hosting works!!

TRAP17 is the best and most professional free webhosting you can get anytime anyday. come to think of all the preinstalled scriptings like php, frontpage extentions, MSQSL, MYQSL est. i will and will always recommend TRAP17 to any of my friends who need web hosting.
Oh, I forgot one thing,...they are there to support you 24/7. so you check it out.
i will rate TRAP17 10 out of 10

LOVE the fact that there are no advertisements/banners/pop-ups etc. I have not really dealt much with Hosting, my own homepage at my ISP has no scripting, but this site had to have it. 8m.com, Geocities and the like are crap, no response (from support OR concerning data-transfer) and pop-up/banner mayhem.
So hopw DO you make the money to host 100's of site bannerfree? Ad-clicks can hardly be enough?
