First I want to ask if that version is retail. Because if not there is your problem. If it is indeed retail isn't there a place where all of your keyboard shortcuts are? I'll first wait for your reply on the legitness of your version of Windows 7. Also what version is it? eg. Windows 7 Home?

Hey trappers!! I have got a strange problem with my pc. I have got few annoying and unwanted keyboard shortcuts eg. on pres sing windows key pc shutdown and on pressint Ctrl key it becomes mute. These shortcuts are not assigned by me and are really annoying me bcz I frequently use windows+D to return to desktop and rather than going to desktop, pc shutdowns. To get rid of these shortcuts, I have already formatted my hard disk, but, the problem is still present. I am currently using windows 7, recently upgraded to windows 7 after the actual problem started in xp. Urgently need the solution of the problem. Thanks in advance!!

maybe you set up a wrong keyboard ? theres a lot of keyboard, north american keyboard, korean keyboard, japanese...
maybe you choose the wrong keyboard settings in your OS installation maybe try to reinstall your OS or if I am wrong it is in your PC or you have an outdated driver, try to check it out
