I guess the title pretty much describes the problem...you've got a spelling issue. Whether or not this post goes here anyways, I thought I mention that you ought to change the name!

Actually is is correct, but iz is also correct.

The American standard way of spelling organisation is "organization" In most English-speaking European countries spell it the PROPER way :-p. (organisations)

And when are you "yanks" going to start spelling 'colour' correctly?

:)

Actually, the American spelling of 'Color' and 'Organizations' make more sense than the European and Asian ones. Do you say col·or OR col·our?

Gray or Grey... the list goes on and on and on...

Although the forum is in English, sometimes it's in Queen's English. And the board is open to those who can communicate in English (either form).

OpaQue is using Queen's English and I use the other. Nothing wrong with that except we don't spell the same all the time. In matter of fact, if it wasn't for spell checker I would never spell it right all the time.

I think which word wins the how do you spell it war is the one that makes the most sense. See whens the last time you said Orga Nih sations. Its said with mostly a Z not an S so the other one wins. Some of them are kind of hard like Grey or Gray. I find my self spelling them both ways from time to time because the both make sense. Oh yea and Colour -.- seriously just don't go there. Its under lined in red on the spell checker so its just wrong! Color there that's better no red lines. :)

Come on guys, we have too few excuses to use the letter 'Z' as it is, spell it the American way. I can't help but read "organisations" as organ-i-say-shuns... :D

Well, it's not really a big deal, I guess... :)

Let's call the whole thing off!

"Let's Call the Whole Thing Off" said:

Verse
Things have come to a pretty pass
Our romance is growing flat,
For you like this and the other
While I go for this and that,
Goodness knows what the end will be
Oh I don't know where I'm at
It looks as if we two will never be one
Something must be done:

Chorus - 1
You say either and I say either, You say neither and I say neither
Either, either Neither, neither, Let's call the whole thing off.

You like potato and I like potahto, You like tomato and I like tomahto
Potato, potahto, Tomato, tomahto, Let's call the whole thing off

But oh, if we call the whole thing off Then we must part
And oh, if we ever part, then that might break my heart

So if you like pyjamas and I like pyjahmas, I'll wear pyjamas and give up
pyajahmas
For we know we need each other so we , Better call the whole off off
Let's call the whole thing off.

Chorus - 2
You say laughter and I say larfter, You say after and I say arfter
Laughter, larfter after arfter, Let's call the whole thing off,

You like vanilla and I like vanella, You saspiralla, and I saspirella
Vanilla vanella chocolate strawberry, Let's call the whole thing off

But oh if we call the whole thing of then we must part
And oh, if we ever part, then that might break my heart

So if you go for oysters and I go for ersters, I'll order oysters and cancel
the ersters
For we know we need each other so we, Better call the calling off off,
Let's call the whole thing off.

Chorus - 3
I say father, and you say pater, I saw mother and you say mater
Pater, mater Uncle, auntie, let's call the whole thing off.

I like bananas and you like banahnahs, I say Havana and I get Havahnah
Bananas, banahnahs Havana, Havahnah, Go your way, I'll go mine

So if I go for scallops and you go for lobsters, So all right no contest we'll
order lobseter
For we know we need each other so we, Better call the calling off off,
Let's call the whole thing off.

Well, it was always strange for me, that American English is different from the English we learn in school and etc. It's the same with colour/color, favourite/favorite, gray/grey it seems alright, but when taking the word organisation, I always prefer the to use the z instead s, maybe because in my country language this word is also spelled with z ;]

The reasons are simple, because of different dictionaries in the past, here is a quite nice reading on wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_and_...ing_differences

The song just isn't the same when you read the lyrics ha ha ha. You'll have to know the song and sing it otherwise either is either, and not either
