Recently I create a blog at wordpress.com and I try to add twitter in my blog. I got a tutorial to help me but failed. Now I can only synchronize twitter but cannot add the icon. Any good suggestions?

so you have created your twitter page and now you just want to add a button to take you directly to your tweet page? right
here are the steps

- first click on this link
http://www.twitterbuttons.com/
- choose one of the buttons
- copy the code and past it in the required position in your code

that's all, it works great for me. if you checked my blog then you' ll get something like the twitter i have in the sidebar.
for more best result, download the twitter logo you want, upload it to your media library and change the logo link in the code you pasted before to make the logo point to the link that is given to you in your media library.
i think it is a better way, so that if the logo deleted from the website will not disappear from your website.

Twitter-tools is one good plugin that you can use to add twitter and tweets to your wordpress theme. You can add tweets and tweeter box to the page of your theme. I'm not sure what you want to do with twitts. If you ask me using widgets and such plugins which drive traffic away from your site are not good and your readers are diverted to twitter instead of sticking on your site.

I think tweetmeme button is somehting you can add to your blog if you wish to fetch traffic from twitter to your blog. Also tweeterfeed.com is one resource where you can add feeds of your blog to tweetr that mean when you post new post then that post link will be sent to twitter status update and this way you can generate a lot of traffic to your site.
