I'm currently trying to soft reset my Pokemon Emerald game for a shiny starter.

By doing this, I can get my secret id, exploit the RNG and get even more shinies, which I can then clone at the battle frontier and migrate to my Diamond.

Has anyone done this before and can give me some advice? I've been soft resetting for a bit more than a week now and so far, no luck
