hi trappers,
i was online in my yahoo messenger, and suddenly a request for add a friend window pops up, containing nothing but about a hundred "+" sign and a name "silent death spammer". every time i ignore this request it keeps on going.
i searched the net about this and found out that it is a pm spammer send by a program for annoying but it is not harmful and i could get rid of it by removing "svchost.exe" from temp and registry and kill "svchost" process. but i did all this and the spamming pms keep pop up, therefore i decided to ask you for help, thank you in advance.

It seem it is harmful enough. The creator of the spammer bot tricked you into deleting a vital process in your OS. See here: http://www.liutiliti...ss/svchost-exe/.
Never delete processes without knowing what they do. It's an essential Windows services process running in the background. Always look it up on the MS website first.

Here you have to note some thing web_desinger. In yahoo! messenger after blocking some one too you might be getting messages from that ID. The reason in this case is simple, the ID has not been blocked even after you giving block. This happens because the ignore list for your ID is FULL. I really dont know why has yahoo ! kept such a condition in it Instant Messaging service that the Ignore list gets FULL. Probably yahoo ! thought dont keep Ignoring every one. Learn to love others . LoL. Of course we cant love the SPAMS he he . So all you need to do is that just get to the Messenger menu after logging into your yahoo Messenger and click preferences. There under an option you can see Ignore List. Just edit it and remove few, So that you will be able to ignore the concerned ID which gives you trouble.
Hope this will give a little help to your problem. Good Luck

There's another good way to stop this menace - stop using Yahoo! The number of spammers/scammers on yahoo has gone way out of control and their chat rooms are now bot rooms. So think about it and stop using yahoo. And if you think you'll be missing a lot of friends in messenger, ask them to move on as well. Yahoo is simply idiotic now.

thank you for your suggestion but i can't do that. first because i am a true loyal fan of yahoo in spite of all the mess it causes. and second because 99% of my friends and family are using yahoo, not anything else. so really can't rid of it.

Hmm in that case you might try using another messaging client like Pidgin which is much safer and has some better features too. Also you can use all your mail accounts in one client so that saves you the trouble of having multiple message clients like Yahoo messenger, Gtalk, etc.
