Too bad we don't have the shoutbox yet or you could have given your solution to that member through the box. Well anyway we won't lose members in this way - most of the people are patient

She won't have trouble keeping up with you. She'll just reply to every post you make by "thanks for sharing". And there's nothing to dip down from when you're at the bottom
Sorry for spamming your thread, Simpleton, but you were practically asking for it... What's up with all this spam, eh?

Now that's a bit harsh. Maybe I haven't been looking at all the threads but I haven't seen her saying just 'thanks for sharing' and leaving it at that. It's good to have a few active posters like her so that the forum doesn't die completely.

Oh, you're welcome to spam every thread/post of mine
Quote
You could say that again

I don't think this thread is juicy, but anyway I'm honoured to get your reply

Oh please do - the rest of us can squeeze a few cents out of it too

yea, this last post of yours was really a good one...hahaha! and why ya mentioning MY name? i always have more to say than "thanks for sharing". nobody understands what i write, but still!
simpleton, i have already dethroned the king if we start from two years ago with the new mycents credit system. but WD is the queen of posters now and does a good job....especially welcoming people in the introductions thread. i don't think anyone minds you posting a lot, simpleton. it's welcomed! wish you could pop in and out more often than ya do though but it's all good. we haven't forgoten about ya. we need more members though. it's the same people posting all the time in here. it really gets redundant.......we need new blood!

Oh yes you always have a lot to say, and thankfully I understand most of it

There's no arguing about that. You're the most consistent poster. There's just the matter of the 6000+ difference in the number of posts between you and SM. Once you break that barrier, your reign will be unquestioned
Quote
She's a good example of the new blood you mentioned. We sure could use a few more members like her.

I wish I could pop in more often too - it's a tough call with so many useless things happening in real life that I have to take care of. I don't think the same members posting always isn't such a bad thing as long as they keep bringing in fresh content and keep changing the words they use commonly. New members are always welcome but they shouldn't disrupt the flow of the community. I'll look for the nearest blood bank and inform you

hay there, i was kidding, yes i like to be in top posters of the day but only when there's something worth to post, so don't even dare to tell me that i will post useless posts here to win anything
Quote
hay there you too, look who talking here the young spammer show up to give his opinion, you walk out of the chat room once in a month and come to tease me OK young man. i know i am killing you here because i will catch you in posts in no time
i use this phrase a lot because they are nice words to thank others for their hard work in posting something useful, and from now and on i will use them even more
Quote
thank you anwiii, that was sweet

Lol I never said you make useless posts. It was a general comment which wasn't directed at any particular member. It was just a casual statement through which I meant that everyone should take care that their posts make good sense all the time. Anyway, thanks for sharing
On another note, it looks like I've failed to keep up even 20 posts per day! It's good for the forum, I guess!

Thank you for sharing Web Designer.
Seriously though if you could I would LOVE it; especially if you started posting new topics, it would possibly improve this forum because people would then be able to actually reply to topics. When the mycent system returns hopefully things will resume as they used to but untill that point the forum is deader than a dead ghost.

Hmm it's true that a lot of members are still shying away from posting because of the myCENT problem. Maybe we should put up a notice on the front page itself that all posts made now will indeed be calculated for myCENTs. Perhaps that would help a little in bringing up the activity. Anyway, till then I'll do my part in helping to increase the activity

what i have a problem with is the new users. some are coming for the mycents. they don't have hosting yet. this can in fact lose potential valuable members and posters and i think a system should be set here for the new members in the meantime. i really do feel sorry for those guys who have come here for hosting services but can't get any becuase the whole forum right nownot only has bugs, but doesn't have the credit system implimented. the old users have been complaining, but it's the new users that are getting screwed the most.
and then i see people posting or explaining in the chat room to new users how the mycents system works still. it's like the old members are encouraging these new members to post KNOWING the mycents system is completely shut down right now. it's only a matter of time before new members think they are being screwed or cheated.

You tried and you failed, i knew it. It is just simply too boring, it would be more interesting if there were more interesting topics, which they aren't anymore since the update, i guess after the mycents come back, it might improve a bit.

actually, the introductions is the worst place to post if someone wants mycents. it doesn't give that much because an introduction and a welcoming message doesn't take long to write. you may get 10 mycents. big deal. also, you mention the help link but people posting in the introduction are just introducing themselves. it doesn't mean they need help or mycents explained. if they have questions, they will post them. you have the introduction category all wrong. it is NOT the HELP category, deadmad.
people who want to earn mycents should go in to the religion topics as those are the hottest debate topics here....and you can easily write 20+ lines in a snap

Its not the worst place! I know, it doesn't take long to write, that is why its EASY and thats why so many post there, its probably the second most active section, after announcements. You can write the most there without thinking too! you can get easily 20+ lines in 2 minutes with all the mycents and all the rules.

I know its not like they need help or mycents explained, thats exactly what i mean, (are you posting to support me? you are saying the same thing as me in the same way, but in a tricky question way). Then why do most people explain about mycents? just keep it simple and say hello and stuff, they don't need all the help, they want a 'hey all'.
Quote
No, i got it right, you don't have to think about writing a introduction, you can even replace a username with another and it will sound the SAME, and thats what most people do here, just repeat the same thing.
But in the religion section, you have talk about personal topics and it requires a lot more thinking and posting than any other section, maybe it might be easy for people who are outward with their religion and talk about it alot, i have NEVER posted in the religion section here, its mostly because i don't have much 'faith' in god and i don't like talking about religion and stuff.

The introductions forum gets boring after a while since it's basically typing the same stuff over and over again. But it's also important to welcome the members so that they feel encouraged by the reception they get and they might become more active. So if you put aside myCENTs for a while, it's a very useful forum.
I stay far away from the religion forum because I'm simply not that smart to argue about such topics

yeah simpleton, this is a promise, if any time you post a topic or a post that interests me i promise i will reply and argue with you till then end
Quote
Introductions is probably the EASIEST way to get some mycents and some posts, just repeating the same thing, thats why the 'Help' section is there for, the introduction section should ONLY be used for 'Saying hi' and not talking about myCents and other useless stuff, which people bloat in there for some more extra cents.
unlike you deadmad. i think that the introduction category used for welcoming the new members and make things easier for them, or else why do you think i keep on repeating the same things over and over again. when i joined the forums i really got lost for days didn't know what to do and where to post. also this forum is not like any other forums on the net, in fact, this is the only forum i saw that has a true rules, others are not. so the new member comes here and assume that this forum is just like any other forum and finally they get a warning from the moderators in here. therefor i believe by guiding them in a few lines i will help them and show them what are these forum really is.

Oh good now all I have to do is find some ideas. Too bad that my brain has gone on a holiday. I used to have many ideas for new topics - now I'm left hunting for topics to reply to
