I don't know about you but i have had my fill of captcha's that either obscure to the point of ridiculousness or just can't read there own attempts!!
I spent over 20 minutes on one site today re-entering endless captchas that i either am too blind/stupid (add your own adjective) to read or they have been programmed on purpose to frustrate would-be sign-ups!!
Please if you are going to use a captcha use one that is useable for an average human being!!
Rant Over!!!!

I vented about Captcha's and their suck-tastic qualities a long time ago on this site. It seems most times they don't have to be solved with complete accuracy though. I often type in things that don't necessarily look right and they will work. I've seen three III's typed in as lowercase L's and it accepted it. Still, there are some sites that are just plain annoying. I hate when you "know" you're right, but it won't work!
What site were you having problems with?

OH, I do so feel your pain!
I place ads for pups for sale on a lot of different sites. There are times when I have spent much time doing an add, waiting for pictures to upload and all, and then the captcha is so screwy I can't even start to figure it out. I remember one day I tried 5-6 or more time and never did figure the dang thing out. It is very frustrating, and I certainly wish they would find some other way to keep spammers or others out of sites without making legitimate customers go threw hell to post.

I agree! I hate those captcha'as which even people can't read, but it's good that usually most of them can be refreshed until it's readable and all the content doesn't need to be refreshed..
Most of captchas nowadays accept lowercase symbols and uppercase, I mean they don't care which case you use, usually it's just in the code:
They always make it lowercase or uppercase, depends on the code. But if it requires the right case, then THAT CAPTCHA is even more annoying!
