Remove Virus From Usb

Hey guys!
i have got a problem with my new linux OS. i don't know how to detect a virus which is in my usb and delete it.i can't access my the data in my usb though i can watch the videos in it when plugged to a tv. it shows 0k left for remaining space in the usb but i haven't used all of it so i think that it is a virus or Trojan.please help me, i just want to be able to use my usb again.thanks.

Do you have an anti-virus? If you don't have, I advise you to download one in the internet, there are many free software that you can download. After that scan your usb so that you can clean all the virus that you get. Goodluck.

Malwarebytes is a good antivirus and the free version should allow you to remove most things there's also Microsoft security essentials or if its like a flash drive and there's nothing else on it you can format it too.
