Hi, I created my website last year when I was going to Australia for four weeks. I used it as a blog and continued the blog when I moved away from home at 16 years old to study marine biology at college. I am going to the Amazon to work with river dolphins next Summer and will blog that too. I would like some opinions on my site in general, the content, style, design or anything would be helpful!! :)

My website: http://www.thecastawaydream.co.uk/

Thank you very much, I look forward to reading any comments about it!

Ahoy there Castaway, I checked out your blog. I like the name you've chosen "The Castaway Dream", it sounds cool. I find the font colours a bit difficult to read, the blue on grey especially. It depends what browser and computer I'm using. The content is interesting, I have an interest in animals, I've rescued a few myself B) No whales or dolphins mind you! I haven't had the opportunity to see many marine ones. Your trip to the Amazon sounds pretty exciting, it would be interesting to read about it but I'll have forgotten about it by then unless you plan on staying a member here :unsure:

Thanks very much, actually I don't know how to change the blue font of the hyperlinks yet, but if I discover how I will change it! Cheers for your comments, please feel free to become a member of my website (for free of course) and keep up with my travels! :)

u can do that by edit the CSS stylesheet. here's how u do it;

a:link {color:black} /*you can change it to any colors u want but needs hex color codes eg.#ffffff or #BF000A, but for primary colors u could just type it in english. try here for a start http://www.somacon.com/p142.php*/

a:hover {color:#}
a:active {color:#}
a:visited {color:#}

on other note about the blog, i too love the name!
i find the color abit too dark for what you do, try something fresh and more vibrant that will suit the website better i think :)
try adobe kuler @ http://adobe.kuler.com for ideas on color combinations.

i reckon something along side blueish theme something that relates more to nature :)

ur pretty lucky get to work with dolphins. heres where im from we dont have dolphins. but we do have orang utans LOL real creepy hairy creatures lol..
