In a series of posts I will list a bunch of free software you can use to help maximize your computer usage and the best part all this software is free and for the most part small in size.

The first piece of software, or better yet a computer app is called Restoration and the purpose of this software is to retrieve files you deleted not only by accident but you can get them back from an empty recycle bin as well.

In my usage of this software, I had over 470,000 files deleted in one form or another based on the scan this app did and this is from a computer that is about two years old. Which means that is a lot of files deleted in just two years and so it is a good bet that on older systems or better yet high usage computers would have even more deleted files and what not. You can sort through the files, although, not by file type but you can do search by name and file type so it will trim down the amount of files you delete by accident or over time.

As for recovering files from a crash hard drive or anything like that, I highly doubt it is that powerful enough to recover deleted files, of course it could possibly do that but I am not going to test that theory out at this time.

You can download your copy from the following link http://www.snapfiles...estoration.HTML and if you have ever use this software before let us know what you think about it.
