Computer Won't Turn On

I have a Compaq Presario SR1603WM Desktop. When I turn the power on all I get is a black screen with the Compaq logo. This has happened to me three or four times and I wait a few hours and try again and it will start up. It doesn't want to start up now no matter what I do. What is my problem? Thanks
