I am zero in fantastico. There are so many features in that Trap17 provides and I don't know "anything" about half of them. Where can I learn about all the features. I don't want to request for hosting now because I am not going to start hosting now and I will simply lose credits if I do so.

As far as my experience goes Mambo open source is the best and most flexible open source I've ever come across. I've installed postnuke, php-nuke, phpwebsite, cpgnuke, and others, but Mambo is stil the best. The flexibility and support makes mambo the best CMS, atleast according to me...

For the benifit of the folks who don't have hosting yet or have never seen what fantastico has to offer here's a list of the links to the home pages of the content management systems that they've got to install for you:
Drupal http://drupal.org
Geeklog http://www.geeklog.net
Mambo Open Source http://mamboserver.com
PHP-Nuke http://www.phpnuke.org
phpWCMS http://www.phpwcms.de/
phpWebSite http://phpwebsite.appstate.edu/
Post-Nuke http://www.postnuke.com/
Siteframe http://siteframe.org
Typo3 http://www.typo3.com/
Xoops http://www.xoops.org/
If you visit the support forums at these sites you can get an indication of how easy the various CMSs are to use. And they usually have a section that is a showcase for their user's sites that they've made with the product and that will give you a pretty good idea of what you can do with each of them.

A CMS basically lets you add new pages/new content on a site without you having to edit the HTML documents themselves. It's to make it easier to create new content and maintain existing content.
And you might want to add a news section to your site because you have new things on your site?
