I use BitTornado because it's very reliable for me, although at times, the GUI seems to freeze, and I get very mad when that happens because I leave the computer on for a long time, so when I get back, I expect a finished download.

I've also tried BitComet. I don't know if this is me, but the torrent seems to take SO much longer to finish downloading than it does on BitTornado. If you've experienced this, post below.

Shareaza is another client that I've tried, but it doesn't seem to handel torrents very well.

yea i agree bit torrent is something i used to use but now the sites that have all the torrent files are making it so you have to or become a paying member for their stuff. So i dont use it anymore and i dont recommend it unless theres a good site out there.

Don't forget BitTorrent 4.0.0.0 was released the other day, so was BitComet 0.57, so the other clones will (soon) switch to the 4.0 codebase as well.

Well, BitTorrent 4.0.0.0 is the original BitTorrent by Bram Cohen - I just didn't put the version because I know that some of these clients update their software quickly, but thanks for bringing that up to those who didn't get the news.

hmm, so which Bitcomet should I vote for, the one on the top or the one on the bottom?

I recently switched to it from Azureus, nice and fast, I like it.

i use bittornado cuz its the most fastest and easy to use one out there. Ive used the orignal one and ABC but i got sick of them cuz i dunno why the speeds would be slow on it. Bittorando is good overall but sumtimes when i close it it freezes and it still runs in the backround which pisses me off but its still good

I don´t know which is the best bittorrent client. I´ve only installed Azureus... bacause of his Java platform and I didn´t had any problem so I don´t think about changing to another...

Anyway, I don´t think Bittornado could reach faster speeds with my connection and Azureus is very easy.

yah, though, mine freezes up sometimes as well. and i don't even leave it open for a long period of time either.

BitTornado ROCKS!!! it lets u choose the upload speed so that u can download what u want first and then seed!!!Unlike other Clients where its automatic. Also this client picks up more peers/seeds as it has this magnet that is soo strong that it works and works

When I started using BitTorrent I started out with the standard client. I'm not sure which version it was back then, but I remember that I didn't like the standard client very much. So I tried several different client with various amounts of success.

I stumbled across BT++, which worked nicely for a while, but then suddenly it stopped working, loading the torrent but not downloading anything.

So then my search for a new client began again, the first one I tried was ABC, which worked nicely and I've stuck to it ever since.

I think that azerus is a great java based bittorrent client because it has a great gui, and everything is monitored, even the diffrent programs the peers that your downloading from are tracked so i can see which is the most popular. And disregarding this poll i see more edonkey clients than any other. Which is surprising because i didn't think that eDonkey use bitorrent. But i think that exeem is also an excellent client

I would reccomend Azuerous but for a good computer. Other ones dont require so much ram and stuff but i like azuerous. Exeem also has bittorent supported but i have never tried it. What do you guys think is the best one? I haven't tried all of them yet but maybe one of you guys have? Well if you guys know id like to know. It would be a conviencence to know. Thanks in Advance if someone can tell me.

Hmmm, no option to vote for azureus? After trying many other clients this one is my favorite by far. It loads fast, has lots of plugins, and is very configurable. Another client i have installed is bitornade since its very small and simple to use, but when I have many torrents at the same time, I always use azureus.

Woo hoo! So far, no one has gotten confused by the double BitComet's!

Casanova, I'm the exactly opposite as you - I like simple programs that get the jobs done, and you like complicated programs that get the job done. But so far, my BitTorrent client, BitTornado, is beating your Azureus

what has happened to exeem, is it just another "bittorent"-like client? supr nova released it, so is it another torrent sharing program?

eXeem™ is a brand new Peer-To-Peer program, which is based on the BitTorrent idea. eXeem™ eliminates the need for trackers as nodes in the program will be taking their role. eXeem™ also features easy publication of files to the network as well as a rating and comments system. eXeem™ contains NO SPYWARE. eXeem™ is free and is ad-supported.* eXeem™ is currently still in its beta testing phase, which means that the network might not be completely stable yet. You are still very welcome to give eXeem™ a try and see how it is different from other Peer-To-Peer programs.

That's basically what eXeem is all about. If you're too lazy to read the above, eXeem is a P2P application that does not use trackers to download BitTorrents. Personally, I have never used eXeem, and I don't intend to because I don't trust it was much as the original BitTorrent idea - downloading using trackers.

*There is also an ad-free/"spyware free" version of eXeem available (because eXeem is open source), even though eXeem makers claim it's already spyware-free: http://www.techspot....ownload512.html

I think it's too cluttered. Personally, I'd take a program that does its job in a simple GUI rather than a complicated one that doesn't, which happened to me several times when using Shareaza. A new torrent file was released, and Shareaza could not download it.

I didnt like Shareaza one bit. Even for files with many peers, the downloads were always under 10kbs, which is about 12 times slower than what I normally get with other clients. I have read that the speed goes up after you have been uploading to other people foor several weeks, but why would I stay using using if takes forever to get anything during that time?
