When Setting up adsense I noticed that I made an error when entering my ssn number. Is there any possible way of changing it??? I do want to have the ads. Or do I have to close the account and register again.

you have to email them to request the change. send an email to adsense-support@google.com telling them your situation and then within a day or two they will email you back. they will most likely ask you for a bunch of information to confirm that its your account... but they will most likely fix this problem for you:)

That's weird, when you register for Adsense, the Adsense staff is supposed to check your background information, and determine if the SSN you provided matches your name and other information. Weird that they didn't do that. So just send them the request, and they should fix it. If there is no response, I would just close the account and make a new one.

Different prob here.
In January, I made almost $20,000 from AdSense. I was projecting revenue in excess of $30,000 per month by now. Then, I got hijacked and my revenue is now next to nothing. This was Google's loss as well as mine. Google could solve the problem in a flash but it's not interested.
There must be thousands of other publishers with stories like mine. Why wouldn't someone at Google monitor publishers? If someone suddenly stopped sending $20,000 a month of business to me, I'd pick up the phone to see what happened. I think Google is missing out on vast amounts of money because it doesn't monitor or support its publishers.
It's like working a big gold mine with nothing but a few guys with picks and shovels. I can't understand why they don't start squeezing some serious profit out of their current situation before someone else does. If I was a shareholder, I would be frustrated.
I think other companies like MSN can and will eventually take advantage of this situation by offering a similar service in a more businesslike manner. Mark my words. : )

if someone has hijacked your page, google still makes money. Just because you aren't sending them the traffic (clicks), someone else is. Frankly, google still makes the money. Publishers have complained about this for a long time and it DOES hurt but google doesn't seem to be doing anything about site "Stealers"...
