i need to upgrade my video card, i have only an integrated crappy one.

before i go to the store though, how do i know if i have an "agp slot" on my motherboard?

and,

is agp the type of card i want? or pci?
everyone has always told me agp, but this dude at radio shack tried telling me pci was better.

Well i think u should go for an AGP slot...beczuse by default a pc does hv 3 pci slots...which are more than enough...for say ur lan card...ur sound card...
In addition u can get one additional or maybe two agp slots.

PCI Express FTW.

But, on old mobos, AGP is the better way to go. It's faster and allows support for better cards (y)
