Well, my site is gonna run to promote some indie local bands in mexico. About 20 bands, all of them UNSIGNED bands, but way COOL. We want to know if its possible to upload mp3 from each band in order to let the people know how they sound like. The bands actually agree with this.

Just please let me know if it is possible in order to start the uploading as soon as possible.

Greetings!! :)

If you have legally acceptable permission from the rights holder, then yes, it is allowed. If they are unsigned, then the rights holders should be the band or the members of the band themselves; otherwise, it would be their record company under normal conditions.

Yea i know all that. But can upload like just a sample of the music. Like 1 minute out of the 6 minute songs. Would it apply the same rules even though its a sample.
