They really did that? Wow! I personally feel that those organizations which are more concerned about animals than people, are for those who don't really know the world they live in. And these NGOs tend to be joined by upper class people, silly young girls who want to do something to make the world a better place to live and put their energies in this kind of things that don't question the political or economical statu quo at all.
I mean, I don't like hurting animals and all that but come on! Let me give you an example that's really exasperating.
In my country, Uruguay, some people still use horses for garbage collection. This isn't a State policy, but the local government of the capital city (where I live) lets some people, really poor people, check dumpsters on the street and take what they think they could sell (metal, plastic, wood, cardboard) or in the worst cases, what they can eat (the food people throws). This is the reality. The thing is that some people make their living of what they can find in other people's garbage, and they usually carry what they collect in a cart drawn by a horse (like in this pic).
So what do you think environment and animal rights organizations complain about?
If if thought that they complain about the poor health conditions of those who do this, you were wrong. If you thought they complain about children being involved in these activities, you were wrong too.
They care about how these recyclers treat their horses.
Yes, they care more about the animals than the 5 year old children who sometimes go with their parents getting inside the dumpsters.
Believe it or not.

Your request has been more than a month here, so maybe I'm a bit late, but I can help you for free, however I would need more details. For example, how is what you want your posts to look like (each single post), how do you want the posts page to look (the one which shows the last posts, or the featured ones... usually the homepage).
You can use WordPress as a simple CMS, with more advanced functions than a blog. What is more, I could help you with designing a theme, but maybe you can use one of one of some already made themes which let you configure almost anything you want from the admin panel, which should be faster. For example, Atahualpa or Suffusion.
Anyway, reply or drop me a line by PM if you still need help, I'll be more often here on KS from now on.

I don't like Apple devices, and I don't own one. In fact, the only thing I've ever liked from Apple was their operative system, Mac OS X (which by the way, got a new update these days). I've seen it installed in computers and it works charmingly.
But for cellphones and music players, I prefer good ole Nokia... and considering recent improvements in those devices, if I had to choose one of those trendy, touchscreen smartphones, I'd buy one with Android, which is open source. But I'm not crazy about them.
So I can't understand how people may become fans of a company! I really don't. However, besides their marketing techniques don't work on me, I can't say that the way they conduct business is terrible. Check what the Economist's figures say:
That is just regarding the iPhone. I don't know their profits in computers but iTunes is the business of the century.
That's why I think that they know what business is about, no matter if I like their designing styles or not.

Nokia still ships a third of all handsets, but Apple astonishingly pulls in more than half of the profits, despite having a market share of barely 4%

Sorry if I arrive a couple of days late... but I have another suggestion too.
If you already tried the solution presented by shadowx, which is very good, I hope you had luck. If you hadn't yet, you may also try with GParted.
GParted is "the Gnome Partition Editor", which allows you to graphically manage your disks partitions.
You can boot it from a CD or USB key like any live distro to manipulate your partitions in emergency cases like this. I used it once, although it wasn't to fix a partition table, just for installing Windows after having installed Debian.
Anyway, you can use GParted to "attempt data rescue from lost partitions", at least their website says. I must admit that it's not a feature of this application that I've ever used, but you can try, I don't think you may lose anything. You can check their help manual, here's the link to the section for data rescuing.
Good luck in any case!

Oh, and as a side note, has anyone else noticed that DiCaprio will now only star in movies that allow him to exclusively wear 50’s-style clothing? What is up with that?
You're right! Catch me if you can, The Aviator, this one...
Anyway, you should let these movies move you so drammatically...

Instead, I have to tell you that Inception is the reason I became a homeless heroin addict. Or at least one of the reasons. Because it was boring or something. I’m sorry, I left the part of me that cares back in that movie theatre.
