Posts I've Made

@Chelsy

Hi!

Good to have you on board. I see you have already made over a dozen posts on the forum in just two days. That's more than my average, which is about just over one post per day. I do a bit of graphic design and like to create vector art. Nothing too complex, but I try to turn portraits into vector art. I really would like to try to work on character animation some day. You can take exactly one character and change the facial expressions and gestures to express various emotions.

It is a very small area of multimedia and it may not have much commercial value within mainstream advertising, but it does give one an opportunity to learn art - capturing the human form and bringing realistic feelings to artistic drawings.

A lot of smart phones today include tools that provide the ability to alter photographs. I've got a Nokia N9 and am waiting for the software update to get downloaded right now because of the additional features for the camera application and the ability to add new applications from the Nokia Ovi Store for editing. I am guessing that the new photo application by Nokia would provide red eye reduction, sharpening, and blurring in the new update but I can't tell for sure. If you would like, I can post another thread when the update has been installed to let you know what the Nokia N9 offers with the latest firmware and software suite.

In Topic: Help With A Girl.

DBMis,

Some times, people want to look their best and simply don't have what they need to dress up to look their best so they would put things off to later. Now, after you put something off, you know that it will come back to you eventually in conversation. That's exactly how the girl has been feeling. What you should have done, in retrospect, would have been to change the subject and speak about something that would have made her more comfortable.

The reason you finally got a response is that the human mind has a tendency to go between moods, discount risks sporadically, and work in irrational ways. Then, there are the what-if scenarios that the mind keeps evaluating. For all practical purposes, what the message means to you is that there still is a chance of something sparking up so you can decide to start off with a clean slate and see where things go from there.

Fermin,

There are limits to physical violence that must not be crossed. A slap on the wrist, a slap across the cheek, or a punch in the belly would not cause physical harm but would only cause humiliation and pain. When physical violence leads to bleeding, scarring, fractures, or any permanent damage, it is inhumane. We see reports of police brutality, soldiers attacking civilians, and violence on campus and all of these are examples of cases in which violence crosses acceptable limits.

Bikerman,

You've rightly pointed out the fact that all human life must be respected.

In Topic: Is It A Joy Having Elderly People Around At Home Or Not

08 May 2012 - 04:48 AM

Referring to grand parents as the elderly perhaps sounds very impersonal. When one speaks of them, one should think of them as parents of parents. Just as one would want to have his or her parents around, their parents would want their parents around too, or at least they should.

The old age homes ought to be for the people who have lost all their children rather than for the general population when they grow old. Every nation has the provision to bring along one's parents, even as an expatriate, so why would anyone have to send their parents to old age homes?

In Topic: Mycents Are Not Updating Again?

@fermin25

Hi Fermin!

The MyCENTs often go without getting updated but the best thing about Knowledge Sutra is that we do eventually get our post credit - better late than never, right?

As Velma suggests, creating a support ticket is your best option if you are in need of MyCENTs - each support ticket stays up on the dashboard of the support staff till it gets resolved so there's a constant reminder for someone to fix the problem. Also, the duration for which the ticket remains open is present in the reports so keeping that figure low keeps the support staff motivated to respond to you as quickly as they can.
