Although scientists may not want to start a program to prove scientifically whether one race is more intelligent than another because it could be politically incorrect, I would not rule out the possibility that that statement is proved or disproved to be true at some unknown time in the future.
I don't think it is racist. One of the earlier posts has explained what racism is.
I also agree that intelligence is not everything one can offer. Everyone is different and has the potential to make contributions related not so much to intelligence.

In Topic: A Time Machine
13 May 2012 - 03:05 AM
Time travel is not possible in that no one can go back in time to participate in or change events that have already happened in the past. In that sense, time machine is impossible.
In theory, it is possible to see what has happened in the past if one can manage to catch up with the light emitted from a past event. The important point is it is possible to see what has happened in the past but not participate in a past event. In that sense, time machine is possible.
Einstein's theory has fundamental flaws and will be proven wrong over time.

In Topic: Israel And Palestine...

The relationship between Israel and Palestine seems to be the most difficult to tackle. It seems to that they don't agree on anything. Just look at some of the posts here. There are ones who write that Israel poisoned Arafat; those are probably Palestinians. Then, there are ones who ask how you get to know that and who is the one that poisoned Arafat.
Hope both nations will find a way to get over with those disagreements and make peace for their own people.

I haven't gone through all the posts so far in this thread, but I have seen comments like "the most absurd" and "completely agree"-type. With so many replies, it probably covers every slice of the spectrum of possible opinions regarding the topic. This post can add to the series to make it more complete.

In Topic: Does Your School Have Well-defined Cliques?
31 March 2012 - 02:47 PM
I heard about a high school in the US with close to 4000 students.
In a school of such a large student population, there are well-defined groups, I would say. Some of the schools are quite large; some are small. Because students are allowed to choose their own courses and there are quite a few classes for each of the main course/subject, they have lunch at different time periods during the day. That makes it difficult for them to gather as a whole group. That's why the groups may not appear to be so well-defined on the surface.
